PUROHIT ACADEMY
Purohit Academy is Pune (Maharashtra, India) based institute established by Ms. Ashwini Purohit in the year 2018 which serves in the field of performing arts and academics. It pledged to be bestowed performing artists & generous human beings to society.
Academy's foundation was laid by Ms. Ashwini Purohit. She is a disciple of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, the lineage coming from Gaansaraswati Vidushi Kishori Amonkar. Ms. Ashwini has excelled in flying colors of Music. She has accomplished successfully with her BA in Hindustani Vocal Music from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University & ranked 1st in it. After completing her Masters in Music, she had done with her Ph.D. in Music from S.N.D.T University. She also had done her Sangeet Alankar of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay in Hindustani Vocal Music and ranked 2nd all over India.
Ashwini has bagged the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India & also has gained Fellowship for doing research work in Hindustani Music by the Centre of Cultural Resources & Training (C.C.R.T) She is a graded artist of All India Radio, Akashwani, Pune.
In the year 2015-2016, she had an opportunity to promote Indian Music & Cultural in the USA. During this period, she conducted many workshops, Lec-Dem in George Mason University, DC. Ashwini has performed extensively all over India & in the USA. She was honored to perform on the very prestigious stage of Kennedy Centre, USA to represent Indian Classical Music.
After coming back from the USA, she initiated to build up a strong foundation to create an educational & cultural hub. Purohit Academy is the result of her hard work & clear vision to explore music for all levels, all age group students.
There are two more very important pillars of Purohit Academy in great support to Ms. Ashwini.
Her mother & Head of the Mathematics department Mrs. Poonam Padmakar Purohit and Mrs. Gauri Purohit-Kanetkar, sister of Ashwini, who is the Head of the Engineering department at Purohit Academy. Mrs. Poonam Purohit is MSc in Maths and teaching this subject for the last 30 years with her best skills & approach to develop the interest of students in Maths. She teaches Maths on an advanced level.
Mrs. Gauri Kanetkar is B.E (E & T.C) and is contributing to the academy by teaching Engineering subjects with her best knowledge & experience in it.
This is how Purohit Academy of Music, Maths & Engineering has established in Pune working on both Offline & Online platforms for the betterment of students.
The artist uses different math & engineering skills while improvising the music. Music is all about creativity and exploration so it goes beyond it.
Hence, we have came across various platforms that help our students learn, perform & can Fly towards Excellence.
